Pablo Bueno admires Iran’s private sector The president of the FIDIC has expressed his view about consulting engineering industry, the challenges of Iran toward communicating with world regarding to its challenging sanction in an exclusive interview with Payam Sakhteman weekly. “The consulting engineering industry in Iran privileged from highest quality and the consulting engineers studding and training in Iran are at the top at the age of technology all around the world and of course inside Iran." He said. Bueno continued: "I mean despite of all the sanctions Iranians are going on and they are able to develop the infrastructures of the country, of course there is still a lot to be done, they could provides better services if transportation In the cities modifies, Iranian have to work on traffic issues and expand the airports facilities and so on.” Two main Challenges “In Iran like in some other developing countries there is always a challenge that governmental agencies try to control and like many other developing countries manipulate private agencies." He said. "Iran has a very developed consulting engineering in private sector and don’t need to compete with local governmental agencies because they are qualify enough To do the job abroad and they could even compete with foreign countries out of Iran to providing their engineering services." "If you want to develop the sustainable engineering industry you have to let Iranian companies work in fair conditions in this country, I believe that inappropriate competitions sometimes come in from governmental agencies. Private sector has improved to be much more efficient, cheaper and qualified than governmental agencies so I think that this is one of the risks. Another risk is that consulting engineering terms are not on time and they cannot afford their financing services. Also in some developing countries you realize that the services are not received on time. In many countries it’s bylaw that you cannot delay more than days but in some others the companies' delays and delay.” President of FIDEC added. Iran “It's the first time I am in Iran and I am sorry about that. I saw Iran as I didn’t expected. It’s a great country. Wonderful people and wonderful place but something I can say about Iran is being the country mainly isolated.” Bueno said at the end.
